Concerts dedicated to Elżbieta Sikora at Romaeuropa Festival in Rome and Royal Villa of Monza

Elżbieta Sikora’s acousmatic works will be presented on three concerts in Italy. Written and performed entirely electro-acoustically, her music will be presented by AUDIOR, the orchestra of speakers designed and built by Eraldo Bocca. The concerts will take place as a part of the renowned Romaeuropa Festival in Rome (12 and 13 November, 20:00, Mattatoio) and of the European Contemporary Sounds series at the Royal Villa of Monza (17 November, 15:00, Villa Mirabello, Parco di Villa Reale di Monza). The program includes such works as Axe Rouge V, Janek Wisniewski- December-Poland, Aquamarina, Rouge d'été and Paris. Gare du Nord.

Organised by: Romaeuropa Festival (Rome), Associazione Centro Musica Contemporanea (Monza)

Financed by the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage of the Republic of Poland as part of the multi-annual programme NIEPODLEGŁA 2017–2022. Partners: Polish Institute in Rome, Consulate General of Poland in Milan.

The concerts are part of the Polish Heroines of Music programme, launched by the Adam Mickiewicz Institute’s Polska Music programme. The programme highlights the rich canon of works created in the past, and those being created by the female Polish composers today.
