Roth focuses on Weinberg "with violence and calm" at Wigmore Hall
“Innocence and loss, violence and calm. Chamber works present a complex portrait of a unique voice.” – Gavin Dixon from theartsdesk.com reviews Weinberg Focus Day at Wigmore Hall. Linus Roth, the curator of the series, invited among others José Gallardo, Janusz Wawrowski and Danjulo Ishizaka, to present together the music of Polish composer at the occasion of his 100. birthday. Last months, Linus Roth presented Weinberg’s music in such prestigious venues as Mozarteum Salzburg, Liszt Academy in Budapest and National Philhamronic in Warsaw.
The German double ECHO Klassik Winner will also soon start his artistic residency at the Augsburg Philharmonic Orchestra with Weinberg’s Violin Concerto (18-19.11.2019). Later, he will perform Violin Concertos by Brahms (13-14.01.2020) and Mendelssohn-Bartholdy (5.7.2020) as a recital with works by Bach (22.03.2020).
