Wilson Hermanto premieres Zygmunt Krauze's Piano Concerto No. 3 and performs at the Enescu Festival

On the occasion of the inauguration of the 62nd Warsaw Autumn Festival (20.09), Wilson Hermanto will conduct the Warsaw Philharmonic Orchestra with the world premiere of Zygmunt Krauze's Piano Concerto No. 3 – Fragments of Memory. The work has been commissioned by Warsaw Autumn, Adam Mickiewicz Institute, Polish National Philharmonic and L'Orchestre National de Metz / Cité musicale – Metz.

Zygmunt Krauze himself on piano and the orchestra will be accompanied by a percussion instrument Veme, created recently by the orchestra from Metz. The second performance of the Concerto is planned for January 17th 2020 in Cité musicale-Metz.

The event is organised in collaboration with the Adam Mickiewicz Institute as part of the Polska Music programme and POLSKA 100, the international cultural programme celebrating the centenary of Poland regaining independence. Financed by the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage of the Republic of Poland as part of the multi-annual programme NIEPODLEGŁA 2017–2022.

What is more, just few days ago, Wilson Hermanto conducted Cameristi della Scala with Daniel Müller-Schott at the prestigious Enescu Festival in Bucharest (6.09) [watch the video report from the concert].
