Premieres of new works by Elżbieta Sikora and Zygmunt Krauze
Elżbieta Sikora and Zygmunt Krauze with premieres at the beginning of the season
September sees two new orchestral works by Zygmunt Krauze premiered. First, the proMODERN vocal group and the Polish Sinfonia Iuventus Orchestra premiered the piece Copernicus – Our Planet at the CODES Festival in Lublin and at the Polish Radio Concert Studio in Warsaw. On September 18, the Silesian Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra under Yaroslav Shemet performed the Exordium for baritone and symphony orchestra by Zygmunt Krauze for the first time. The solo part was realized by Jarosław Bręk.
At the end of August, Running North by Elżbieta Sikora, performed by carillonist Monika Kaźmierczak, had its world premiere in Gdańsk. Read more about SONORA Artist’s premieres planned for this season.
