Dear Friends,

we would like to give our cordial thanks to all artists and partners we worked with in 2016. Thanks to your support and enthusiasm we could organize 182 concerts for audiences in 26 countries of the world. Following our artists, during last 12 months I have encompassed over 32.000 kilometers. And we keep on accelerating! I am more than happy to announce that since 2017, Mikołaj Bylka will reinforce the ranks of SONORA.

Please find below a short résumé of our most important projects we have been involved in during 2016. I am more than sure that thanks to our collaboration, together we will manage to do even more in the upcoming years. Concert highlights

Janusz Wawrowski debuts at the Musikverein Vienna performing Mieczysław Karłowicz's Violin Concertos.
Linus Roth opens the 69th Edition of the Festival de Besançon performing Tchaikovsky's Violin Concerto.
Mateusz Molęda conducts the Nürnberger Symphoniker on tour in Poland and debuts with the NFM Wrocław Philharmonic.
Mihkel Poll debuts with the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra.
Peijun Xu debuts in Poland at the Poznań Spring Contemporary Music Festival.

Our top CDs

Linus Roth recorded and released two albums: the complete Solo Sonatas by Mieczysław Weinberg and Tchaikovsky's and Shostakovich's Violin Concertos with the London Symphony Orchestra and Thomas Sanderling. Both albums were nominated by the International Classical Music Awards (ICMA). The second album was also awarded Best Concerto Recording of 2016 by the Voix des Arts magazine.

Warner Classics released Janusz Wawrowski's new album Sequenza, containing among others music by Luciano Berio, Krzysztof Penderecki and Eugène Ysaÿe. Sequenza received outstanding recognition by the press including a 4* review by the Guardian. Janusz Wawrowski presented his new album live in the BBC Radio 3.

Ingrid Jacoby released her third Mozart Concerti album, recorded with the Academy of St. Martin in the Fields and Sir Neville Marriner.

Congratulations to Mihkel Poll whose latest album with solo piano pieces by Béla Bartók, George Enescu, Erkki-Sven Tüür and Tõnu Kõrvits received the Estonian Classical Album 2016 Award. The album has been released by DUX Records.

Karkowski/Xenakis and Zooming: chamber music projects in Poland and in the world

Karkowski/Xenakis project continued touring Poland in 6 concerts, among others at the Nowy Teatr in Warsaw, during the opening festivities of the European Capital of Culture in Wrocław as well as in concerts through out Slovakia and the Czech Republic.

In collaboration with the Sepia Ensemble and the Music:LX office, we presented the Zooming: Luxembourg project during concerts in Poland and Luxembourg.

Today, we work on 4 new special projects.
