Conductor

Born in 1987, Marc Korovitch studied at the Sorbonne University, the École Normale de Musique de Paris and the Haute École de Musique de Genève.

In 2019 he has been appointed conductor of the Swedish Radio Choir, in 2022 a musical director of the Colonne Orchestra, in 2023 of the Montenegro Symphony Orchestra and in 2024 of the Spanish Radio and Television Choir RTVE.

Before, he was conductor of the Jeune Choeur de Paris from 2017 to 2024 and principal conductor of the Choeur de l’Orchestre de Paris between 2022 and 2023.

Marc Korovitch’s 2024/25 season opens with the Montenegrin Symphony Orchestra, conducting Bruckner’s 7th Symphony. Highlights include a collaboration with the Netherlands Radio Choir at Amsterdam’s Concertgebouw, preparing Brahms’ Requiem, conducting the Swedish Radio Choir in Stockholm for Shchedrin’s The Sealed Angel, and conducting the Spanish Radio Choir in Madrid for Palmeri’s Missa Tango. He will also perform with the Orchestre Colonne in Paris.

 He works with Denis Rouger, Celso Antunes, Michael Gläser, Dominique Rouits and Colin Metters. He is regularly invited by different choirs, accentus, the Radio France Choir, the SWR Vokalensemble Stuttgart, the Croatian Radio Choir, the NDR chor, the SWR Vokalensemble, the Europa Chor Akademie, the WDR Chor, the English Voices, the Coro de la Comunidad de Madrid, the Serbian Radio Choir, the Eric Ericson Chamber Choir and the Netherlands Radio Choir. He is the youngest conductor to have conducted the Concerto Köln in Germany and on tour in Italy and Poland. He conducts the Hague Chamber Orchestra, the Zagreb Baroque Orchestra, the Croatian Radio Orchestra, the Orchestre National de Montpellier and the RTVE Spanish Radio and Television Orchestra.

He collaborates with conductors such as Sir S. Rattle, H. Blomstedt, K. Mäkelä, D. Harding, L. Shani, G. Dudamel, A. Gilbert, P. Jordan, L. Langrée, L.G. Alarcon, L. Equilbey , E. P. Salonen, J. van Zweden… in venues such as the Philharmonie de Paris, Theater an der Wien, Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg, Lincoln Center in New York, Berwaldhallen in Stockholm, the Auditorio Nacional in Madrid, the Tokyo Opera City and during major festivals such as that of Radio-France in Montpellier, the Rencontres Musicales d’Evian, the Mozartwoche in Salzburg or the mostly Mozart festival in New York.

Passionate about teaching, he was a conducting professor at the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional de Paris and at the Pôle Supérieur Paris Boulogne Billancourt.
