Conductor

Conductor and Doctor of Musical Arts, Head of Orchestra at the Jerzy Semkow Polish Sinfonia Iuventus Orchestra. A graduate of the Academy of Music in Poznań (symphonic and operatic conducting) and the Academy of Art in Szczecin (music education – specializing in choral conducting), he completed both programs with distinction. He is a laureate of the Minister of Culture and National Heritage Award.

In the 2024/25 artistic season, he performs a series of concerts with the Jerzy Semkow Sinfonia Iuventus Orchestra and the Silesian Chamber Orchestra, as well as with the Kraków Philharmonic, Szczecin Philharmonic, Sudety Philharmonic, Gorzów Philharmonic, Zielona Góra Philharmonic, Lublin Philharmonic, Opole Philharmonic, Warmian-Masurian Philharmonic, and the Youth Symphony Orchestra of Ukraine.

Before he has conducted orchestras of the NFM Wrocław Philharmonic, the Poznań Philharmonic, the Łódź Philharmonic, the Podkarpacie Philharmonic, t the Castle Opera in Szczecin, the Elbląg Chamber Orchestra, the Lviv Virtuosos Chamber Orchestra, and the Kaunas City Symphony Orchestra. He has premiered works by Piotr Klimek, Artur Cieślak, Mateusz Ryczek, Krystian Skubała, and Paweł Łukaszewski, whose Symphony No. VIII Hymns of Banganarti was first presented during the 57th International Wratislavia Cantans Festival.

Norbert Twórczyński has made several recordings for the Szczecin Philharmonic, including music for the Polish-Danish film Apolonia, Apolonia, which was shortlisted for the 96th Academy Awards in the documentary film category. He has also collaborated with the Acte Préalable label (Oratorio Niepodległa by Artur Cieślak, 2021). He has worked with many renowned artists, including Bartłomiej Nizioł, Jakub Jakowicz, Leszek Możdżer, Stacey Kent, Janusz Wawrowski, Jarosław Bręk, Samuel Seidenberg, Paweł Steczek, and Edgar Manyak.

Norbert Twórczyński successfully combines his artistic activity with teaching, holding the position of assistant professor at the Academy of Art in Szczecin. The artist is represented by the SONORA agency.
